Sean Lee Out...Bruce Carter Must Step Up
November 02, 2011When you look at the Cowboys defense this season one name will jump out at you Sean Lee. This season Lee has 51 tackles and three interceptions and has been a leader on the defense. Now due to a dislocated wrist Lee is going to be out for some time and their is only one player who can fill his role Bruce Carter. Last week was Carters first game in the NFL and has one special team tackle. Rob Ryan did not trust the young linebacker enough to put him in on defense and payed the price. Keith Brooking looked slow and out of place against the fast Eagles team and was the main reason why the Cowboys played their worst game of the season. It is time to start working the young athletic Carter into the game starting this week. Most felt that Carter could be a top 10 pick before suffering a ACL injury last season. Not only does Carter have talent he has just what this linebacking core needs with Lee out and that is speed. Brooking will be staring at linebacker this week vs a bad Seattle team however look for Carter to come in and make some players. If the young backer can do that and earn Rob Ryan trust he will be a factor for the rest of this season.
